Sharing the name of a Hall of Famer can be a blessing and a curse, but Vlad Jr. has lived up to the hype thus far. The ability to hit the ball to all fields with power is not an easy find in today’s game, yet Jr. has shown he has the ability to do it. Vlad has proven he can be a hit machine, especially after his 2024 season, where he had 199 hits and posted a .323 batting average. Having six seasons under his belt can distract you from the fact that he is only 25 years old and likely has not hit his prime yet. Entering his 7th season in majors, all for Toronto, can we expect even more from the big righty?
Another factor that should play a part in your Vlad Jr. decision-making is his durability. Since 2020, Guerrero has missed 12 total games, ranking among the most dependable in the entire league. He spends the vast majority of his time playing 1st base but has also played 3rd and been a designated hitter in recent years. Entering a contract year, Guerrero Jr. is expected to be a huge offseason target in 2026. Depending on how the Blue Jays start the season in 2025, he could also be a very enticing trade chip. Wherever he goes, he will be successful and all but guarantee a floor of 27-30 home runs, 90-100 RBIs and a .285-.300 average.
Fantasy baseball writers seem to have Guerrero ranked at or near the top of the 1st basemen rankings, so a first-round selection may be necessary if you want him on your squad.

A down year from Judge, coupled with Vlad taking a step forward, could make 16-1 a great bet come August of 2025. He has never won an MVP, but has gotten close a few times, finishing 2nd in 2021 and 6th in 2024.
Major League Home Run Leader: +3500 on Caesars Sportsbook
Vlad actually hit 48 home runs in 2021, but has not really approached that since. He led the majors that season, and has topped out at 32 recently. Having done it before, is not out of the question at 35-1, and he is just 25 years. old.
