A brief breakdown of my picks for each conference, as well as betting odds.
Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC): Clemson
Now a few seasons removed from the real empire that was the Clemson Tigers dynasty, Clemson has the chance to take a step back into the spotlight in 2024. Led by quarterback Cade Klubnik, the Tigers will need to improve vastly from their 4-4 ACC record last season. In reality, they may have been in shock after their embarrassing opening season loss against Duke, so maybe that season never had a chance. They open their season against Georgia, so while not ACC, it could give the nation an opportunity to see what the Tigers are made of.

American Athletic Conference (AAC): South Florida
South Florida has had some highs and lows (mostly lows) during their most recent seasons, but they have an opportunity to take another step forward in 2024. In a conference that lacks in any ranked talent, winning against Memphis on October 11th could be what makes or breaks them. Last season, that match up was a shootout in Memphis, with the final score being 59-50 with USF losing out. For the second time in as many seasons, South Florida will face Alabama really early in the year, which could put in perspective how well this team can handle a real test. Quarterback Byrum Brown has shown potential, and he will need to continue firing on all cylinders if South Florida can make a serious run at the AAC.
