A new season, a new quarterback and a new opportunity. Can Pitts finally become the top 5 pick that the Falcons drafted in 2021?
Pitts has underperformed for most of his career, but how much of that is his fault? With a carousel of inconsistent quarterbacks, Pitts has managed a few breakout games where he truly showed his potential. Most of these, however, happened during his rookie season.
Most Receiving Yards:

The first of two incredible long shots are both listed at 50-1. For Pitts to lead the NFL in receiving yards, his new quarterback needs to get comfortable with him very fast. Kirk Cousins is an experienced veteran, but he is also coming off a devastating injury that could take a step out of his game. The 2023 season leader had 1799 receiving yards (Tyreek Hill) while Pitts only has 2044 total through 44 career games.

Now this is more likely than the first one, yet still not likely. Pitts has not been the touchdown option that he was in his final year at Florida (where he caught 12 touchdowns in just 8 games), but now with a few years under his belt, a veteran quarterback presence, and a new Offensive Coordinator, who knows?
Receiving Yards Totals:
His best season to date had him clearly 1,000 yards receiving and that was back in his rookie year. That was Matt Ryan’s final season for the Falcons, so an accomplished veteran quarterback was able to make a rookie Tight End a Pro Bowler. 2024 may see Pitts knocking back at 1,000 yards, which will be far and away above 750.
Receiving Touchdowns Totals:
Leading the NFL in touchdowns may not be likely for Pitts, but 5 or more? That seems very feasible. Only entering his age-24 season, the athletic Pitts may become a real issue in the red zone at 6’6″ and 245lbs.
10 or More Receiving Touchdowns: +800 on DraftKings Sportsbook
I like this one. I am obviously pretty high on Pitts this season, but 10 seems like a number he may be approaching as we approach the last few weeks of the season. If Pitts can start off hot, he may make 8 to 1 odds seem like a value.
