Choosing 3 Pitchers to Strikeout 7 or More Batters

  1. Brayan Bello– Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox have been having a pretty good season, finding themselves a game over .500 as we begin play today. Playing above .500 baseball usually leads to relevant baseball in late September, which is something Red Sox fans are certainly routing for. The Yankees, on the other hand, have been playing at an extremely high level, being just 1 game away from being the first team in the MLB to 50 wins.

The man attempting to stop the Yankees from reaching uncharted territory is Brayan Bello, a pitcher who has had success against New York. Bello has faced on 4 occasions, allowing only 5 earned runs over 31 innings. All four starts occurred in 2022 and 2023, so this will be the first time Bello sees New York this season.

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Brayan Bello 7+ Strikeouts (+360)

2. Sean Manaea– New York Mets

This one is more of a gut feeling. There is nothing pointing to Manaea having much success here tonight, he has faced many of the current Padres, and most of them have impressive averages against him. Manaea is one of those pitchers that on any night, he could be unhittable. Manaea’s career high in strikeouts is 13, and anything can happen on a rainy New York Friday night.

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Sean Manaea 7+ Strikeouts (+450)

3. Ranger Suarez– Philadelphia Phillies

While Bello and Manaea are currently mid-tier pitchers, Suarez is one of the names in the Cy Young race in 2024. Facing Baltimore at Camden Yards, Suarez has a challenge on his hands. Sporting a 9.6 strikeouts per 9 innings, and just a few starts off of back-to-back 9 and 10 strikeout games, Suarez is poised to have a solid game on the road.

Suarez has faced Baltimore two other times, both times going 6 innings, allowing 1 walk with 7 hits. He struck out 5 in game one, and 6 in game two. With Suarez at the top of his game this year, it is not out of the question to see an increase in strikeouts in round three.

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds: Ranger Suarez 7+ Strikeouts (+235)

Feeling risky? A parlay of Bello, Manaea and Suarez 7+ Strikeouts comes in at +7990 or about 80-1.
